Nanny Adventures

I have been off work since Thursday evening.  It has been great, exhausting, profitable and exhausting!   I loaded my car up twice with items for my yard sale that I was having at my friend’s house in Pennsylvania.  

But more on that later, today my oldest, Kidlet #1 is home because school is out.  He came downstairs and said hello to me at 11:00 am!!!! I was like “Hello, you are up before 1:30pm?”  He said he was going to gym to go to use the hot tub.  He said he would walk!!!!!!!  I said ok.   So he was gone for about an hour.

Then after he showered etc, he came and asked me what I was doing for lunch.  I said I don’t know.  He asked me if I thought about Taco Bell. I said no.  I made a deal with him to take the car to get lunch if he would go to the grocery store for me. He agreed. YEAH!   So I sent him to the store for the following items: a yellow onion, gallon of milk, 2 onion rolls, 2 packages of thin sliced chicken breasts, 1 6pack of Lemon Propel, and 2 cases of water.    He then asked for the car keys and the credit card.    I hope I get the chicken because that is what is for dinner tonight: chicken,onions & beans & rice.  Our standard meal once a week.

Moral:

Sometimes taking a mini vacation away from the kids and work is good for everyone. The teenage is happy you and the car is back and they are willing to work for use of the car
