So I was without my car for a week because of my car accident I was involved in over Easter break. This meant I was without the garage door opener as well. I had to go through the front door to get in the house. I really missed the garage door opener in the car.
So I finally got my car back on the 4th, a week early, and was in love with the fact that I could just walk right into the house again.
On Monday though Kidlet #3 and I came home quickly from school so he could change clothes for baseball and then head right out to practice. We came through the garage and everything was great. We tried leaving 20 mins later and the garage door wouldn’t budge. So I pulled on the string release, because we had a problem where it came unattached a few weeks ago so I thought that was the problem. No go. So kidlet and I head upstairs to go out the front door to leave.
I call my friend, who just had her employer’s garage door fixed. Their problem was that the sensors were off. So she gave me the number for Beltway Garage Doors. So I call them at 8:30pm on Monday night. This lady answered and got my info and said someone would be by tomorrow between 12-4. I was in shock. Thinking that I would have to wait a few days for someone to come by. So Tuesday comes and I get up and go to the grocery store , Target, post office and somewhere else. I get a phone call around 10:30 from Brent saying he would be there between 1-2pm. I said great. This gave me another hour to get things done.
So I get home and work on things. Then Brent comes. The track of the garage door looks like a chain on a bicycle that is off track. He is a little stumped looking at it from the ladder..Then he glances over to the door and said …that is your problem. I said what? He says someone locked the door. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. So he goes over there and pushes the door down with his foot and turns the handle to unlock. Guess what the garage door now works after $65 and a 5 minute visit from Brent.
I was very happy with my experience with Beltway Doors. They were fast and had wonderful customer service. I have the sticker on the wall now to call them for any future problems with the garage doors. Of course after I look to make sure the door is not locked.
Moral: Never trust that the kidlets didn’t touch the door and always look to make sure the sensors are lined and the handles are not turned into a locked position.

Hey, welcome to the blog world. Mine is above. A good reference book is “A girls guide to blogging with Moxie”. You might want to see if the library has it because your blog is already up, but it talks about RSS feeds, and posting photos, a music stream, a library, etc.
I’ll keep reading!
