Nanny Adventures

On Friday evening I joined this great thing called Friday Focus. It is where you write down your weekly focuses and report back the following Friday.  Perfect–I need the accountability.

I put on there to clean out my storage unit.  I can do this in one day. I know I can especially with the help from my friend Jenn. She likes organizing and ditching stuff-she is crazy. :)   Jen and I had planned for a week to go Saturday to do it, so this just helped my cause more. 

Well when I was making my list Friday night of things to focus on this week I forgot two important details….the temperature outside and that the storage unit building is NOT HEATED.  Saturday’s high is 23 degrees!  YEAH right was I going to be able to dig through my storage unit and empty it, especially since it is right by a huge open window and the outer wall.    We both kinda of forgot about the weather I think.

Well regardless of the weather, Jenn and I said we were going to meet at 9am there and work till noon. Fine I grumbled, knowing we would freeze our butts off. I woke up at at 7:45 and  Jenn had text messaged me to call her.  I called her at 8am and said she had a sore throat, so I said no problem…I will go back to sleep. I did till 11:30am.  Breathing a large sigh of relief that I wasn’t going to be frozen to the bone marrow in my bones

In light or rather coldness of this reality, I am revising my Friday Focus.   I will have my storage unit cleared out by Sunday January 25 not by Friday 22nd. This gives me next weekend when the weather is supposed to be 10-15 degrees warmer.   I am going to try to find the food chopped tomorrow before my meeting at 2:30 if it is warmer..it is suppose to be 33 degrees.  HEAT WAVE!

I did however go to the eye doctor’s today and get an exam.  Then to BJ’s Warehouse and get two pairs of glasses-one pair of sunglasses and one really cool looking pair of glasses. They will be here in two weeks or less hopefully.
