Nanny Adventures

Last night I was driving home from a visit with some friends I had not seen in awhile. When I was almost home I realized that Kidlet #1 was driving before me.  I was like mmm, his curfew is 11pm.   We both pulled up to the house at the same time. 

He had just come home earlier from his 2 week abroad adventure and I had not seen him.  He came out to the street where I was and gave me a big hug.  He is basically 6 ft compared to my little 5′4.  :)   It had been 2 weeks since I had seen him.  It was very sweet.   I asked him how it was and he said awesome.  He said he got me something from his trip and he would go get it now. Off he disappears.

He comes back downstairs and tells me that on the first day of being in the DR, they visited a village type place. (He used another word, which I can’t remember.)   He said this was like the poorest place on the planet.   Some of the women made things like candles to sell to earn some money.   He then hands me 2 candles.  One is this rather large red heart and another a tall pillar type one that is white and multi colored.  They were very cool.  I will have to take a picture and post them.     I said Ah, a heart..is that to show how much you love and missed your nanny while you are gone?  He laughed.

It is great to have him again.  The dynamics were definitely different when he was gone.   Tomorrow they leave on a week long College Visit Quest of the West Coast.  I get to take them to the airport at 5:55AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
