Funny thing happend on the way to Monday..

Last night I finally got home from seeing the movie “New in Town” (it was a great little romantic comedy), and kidlet #1 knocked on my door.  He had to volunateer today from 7am till 1:30pm and there was not metro access where he was going. He needed me to either take him and pick him up or let him borrow the car.  I said no and no.  I had a rescheduled dentist appointment from last week’s snow/ice storm at 1pm.   He couldn’t use a parent car so I said yes barely, but told him that he had to pick up kidlet #3 at school in order to use the car.  He said ok.

We watched the SuperBowl together last night on the big screen and it was fun.  I told him to call me before he left on his way home.  He just called a bit ago to say he was leaving. He asked me if I wanted anything. I asked if he was stopping for lunch and he said yes probably at Cosi. I said sure pick me up a tuna melt.

It is almost 2pm on Monday and I am still in my jammies, I have been working on putting together my christmas stuff I bought for next year, organizing my floor of paper mounds and so forth.     For this I get lunch and a very short working day.  I will be watching One Tree Hill tonight with Kidlet #3 if he does his homework and showers before 9pm.

By the way, my brother and I were wondering if Mom slept in today on her first “official” Monday of retirement.

Sleep in? You’ve got to be kidding - I had many erands to run; I was up and otta here by 9am buying dog food at Pet Smart, turbotax etc at BJ’s, and more groceries…I had gone to HT’s yesterday!
Of course everything had to be drug in and put away, then i started to work on my taxes. Of course I had to interupt my “accounting” to prepare dinner…WW recipe for Mexican pork chops - very tastey and only 5 pts. PHEW, this retirement stuff ain’t for sissies!
