Life as a Nanny - among other things

What a day of thought…

Today after I picked up Kidlet #1, he was having me guess his SAT scores he got this am.  I was clueless as they have changed so much.  So he tells me what the numbers were and he says back in your day it would have been a 1450.  I told him that was awesome.

I then asked him about what he wanted to major in: International Relations and Political Science.   This sounded great to me based on him trying to get me to vote for Hilary in the primary and Obama in the election :)    I said: what do you want to do with that: business.  He said something about being the President.  Great, don’t forget your loving Nanny who picks you up daily.  His response was that I could have a job.   As what I asked?   You can be the Head of the Nannies, he said.  Really…are you planning to have kids?  Possibly was his answer.  So please vote for Kidlet #1 in the election when he runs for office, as I want to be the Head of the Nannies for his non-existent children!   Oh and his wife will be one of two women: Ms. Spears (Brittany)  or Ms Douglas (Ashanti). I was laughing and told him I didn’t think he would be able to win if Ms. Spears was his wife.

Kidlet#3 was at class tonight and I told him that his chicken ceaser salad with italian dressing was in the fridge. I asked him if he wanted me to come upstairs while he ate.  He said yes. I was like ok.   He said it has been shown that Family Dinners cause 25% less drug addicts in kids.

I am helping my one child not become a drug addict (not that I think he would ever be one or have suscipions of him being one) by sitting upstairs and chatting with him while he eats, while the other child is striving to become President and remembering me by hiring me as the Head of Nannies in the White House.  What a great job I have!
