“Don’t call me and ask me when I’m coming home!”

August 6th, 2008 · No Comments

Today Kidlet #3 and I went out to dinner then went to a school supply store to get some supplies and a memory card for the new camcorder.

I was checking out in line and a gentleman asked if he could go ahead, he had one item and was getting on a bus.  I said sure no problem, go ahead.  Then we get called to another register.  This lady was a manager and apparently the guy knew or something as he kept saying hello to her.

Well she started ringing up order and the guy came over and asked if she had started us yet.  Thankfully she had.  I have no problems letting you in front of me, but don’t expect to do it again because you want a different cashier.

So his cell rings and he answers it.  He then very loudly and firmly starts telling the person on the other end not to be calling him and asking him when he will be home.  Then he says something about he is at the bus etc and will be home at 8:30pm.  It was roughly 7:30.  The cashier and I just laughed silently and rolled eyes.  He said a few other things but I can’t remember now.

So we finish up and the kidlet grabs his bag and we head outside.  I hear the guy’s cell ring again.  We continue going outside and he is still talking loud etc.   He comes outside on the phone repeating the same thing ” Don’t call me and ask me when I’m coming home! I have things to do and I will be back at 8:30″   Kidlet said wow, and I said just get in the car. I was trying not to laugh.    The kidlet says…  I would say he needs some marriage counseling!!!!!!!! I died laughing.  He also said but it is not my business so I shouldn’t say anything.  True but probably very wise advice.
