Nanny Adventures

So kidlet #3 lied to me and his mom about cleaning his room for the cleaning people that came on Tuesday.  He has lost privelages of going on errands and watching TV.   Now most kids would be thrilled to not have to run errands, but he kinda of likes going to do things like that.

Tonight he asked me who was the worst kid I nannied for. I said him because of his lying.  He went bonkers on that one.  He couldn’t wrap it around his head that he was bad for lying and that he was a liar.  We spent a good 20 minutes arguing over things. He hasn’t learned that I won’t back down…just ask my mom and brother :)    I told him I don’t trust him because he lied when I had trusted him.  He also didn’t get how he was being disrespectful by not answering me and by running away when I would say something to him.   Ah the life of the teenager! sigh.

We had to go to acting class and I told him he needed to have a better attitude when he got back in the car after class.  He knew I was mad.  He got out of the car and looked back, I was still there as I couldn’t pull out into the street yet.  He comes running back to the car and says Sorry. I said ok.   I start driving away and call my friend to tell her about what happened. A strange number appeared on my caller id…it was the kidlet. He called to say he was sorry for being a brat and sassy. 

When I went to pick him up, I explained to him that he is allowed to be upset, angry etc but he is not allowed to be disrespectful to me or anyone else.  That doing that is worse then the crime done.

I had told him I would start checking all of his homework and making sure it was done. He said fine, warden.  I said ok inmate.  I tell him that after his homework to take a shower. He tries to tell me that inmates only get 2 showers a week and he took one on Sunday and Monday so he has had his two for the week.  I laughed at him.

He ended up taking a bath with my bath fizzy I got from my secret santa this week.
