I left last Thursday am to visit my brother and his wife and their “two kids” in Kenmore Washington outside Seattle. We arrived to a bit of sprinkling and 50 degrees around 6pm. On Friday it was crystal clear and high of 50. This remained throughout our stay till we woke up on Monday and it was raining. My mom and Melissa joined me and my brother and sister in law from Raleigh as well. We all got to see the new house and the “kids” Lucy the labradoodle dog and Sammy the Maine Coon cat. I brought my little niece Lucy an awesome bubble gun and bubble machine that spit out chicken flavored bubbles, she went crazy for this.
I will be posting about my trip over the coming days once I get my photos uploaded.
It was an awesome trip and I look forward to coming back in the late spring/summer as I have been there twice now in the rainy season! I want to go whale watching!!!!!!!!!
Funny thing about my trip is that kidlet #3 didn’t want me to leave because he would miss me. I was like you are kidding. I am going for 5 days I will be back. Then he was texting me a few times over the coming days. Being in touch with my kidlet charges while I am away is something new to me in my 13 year nanny career. Kidlet #3 even texted me at 7am Seattle time on Monday to tell me he was going to the circus and that he cleaned his bird cage and not mine. I said thanks for telling me..it is 7am! Little did he realize my doctor’s office called at 6:30am…they didn’t get the note about me being on the west coast! While I was waiting in St. Louis for my connection, kidlet #3 called to tell me I was missing One Tree Hill. This has been our routine for the past year, to watch this show on Mondays at 9pm! He had to watch it by himself. I have yet to find out what happened.

I would like to see Sammy, the Maine Coon Cat. We used to have two. They were wonderful cats. Pepper became a subject of several of my paintings. Very intelligent cats!
