Today while at the grocery store, they were doing the Flu Shots. I decided to go ahead and do it since, there was noone in line and the ladies were funny who were administering the shots. I came back with my checkbook and wrote the check for $30. I was telling them how terrible I was at giving blood and had to lay down etc, but I have graduated from that now. The lady was so cute and was giving me a play by play of what she was doing. I said oh don’t bother telling me, just do it, it is much easier this way. It was over and done with no pain. I even got a yellow sticker that said “I got it, did you?” I have been wearing it proudly since this morning.
I just got Kidlet #3 from choir practice. I told him that I got a shot today. He misheard me as saying I got shot today. He asked why I was not in the hospital. I said because I am SuperNanny. :) We get home and I said “See I got a bandaid and a sticker” His response was you got a vaccination. “Was it for cervical cancer?” Then he starts spouting off the warnings from the cervical cancer vaccination commerical. I was laughing hysterically. I said thanks for worrying about my health, but I am too old for that shot, I just got the flu shot!
Later I will probably let him rip the bandaid off my arm, he will enjoy envoking pain to me I am sure!
