Kidlet #3 got a parakeet for Christmas named Sparky. He has done a good job finger training her etc. Anyways, her wings have grown out now. The other week she escaped from the cage and took a little flight around the house for a bit.
The kidlet wanted to let her out of the cage yesterday so I said sure. It took her a bit of time to come out and when she did……she flew around for a good 30 mins. She isn’t like my little Lemongrass who will come to me when I say “step up” when he is out of the cage. Sparky took off flying further around the house…even going up to the second floor. I finally got her when she landed in some dirty clothes and was trying to bury herself in there. I was afraid she might die from the smell of the socks 
I need to write more on the adventuers of Sparky and Lemongrass. They are quite funny parakeets.
