Nanny Adventures

Today I had to take my boss’s car in because they went in a pothole and got a flat. I was told to get a rental car for the day. This morning I had to drop Kidlet #3 off at school on my way to get the car fixed, he told me to get a cool car and not a loser cruiser aka PT Cruiser.  I said well I will try.  

I get to the car rental and they have no cars basically I have my choice of a minivan or a pick up truck.  I was like um I will take a pick up truck.

This is it.. a new 2009 GMC Canyon Truck. It was really nice actually, I was surprised.  I loved driving it.  It reminded me of the Explorer I drove from 99-01 at my old nanny job. 

I got a call that the car was ready at 1:30 but carpool was at 3pm and kidlet loves rental cars, so I decided to keep the truck a bit longer.  I go and pick him up and he starts asking what car did I get.  I said I got a truck.  He was like really what car did you get?  I said that red truck.  He starts laughing. I said well my choice was a minivan or a truck, so I tried the truck.  

He says well it is a better to be a Trucker Mamma than a Soccer Mom!    

So which would you prefer– the above truck or the Sienna ?  Trucker Mamma or Soccer Mom?
