I got a F!

September 2nd, 2008 · 3 Comments

Out of 10 questions I got 5 wrong!  I stink at simple algebra I guess.  It was graded in pink marker, bc I didn’t have a red marker!  There is even an F and unhappy face on my paper by the kidlet!  Kidlet #3 was cackling saying he enjoyed grading papers!  I can’t believe this. He is throwing back in my face all the homework checks I have done over the past year!

He told me to go upstairs and start reading this week’s homework because a F is unacceptable.  That even kidlet #1 could do better than this!   He said I wasn’t allowed to get a F again.  That I needed to study and work on my problems to improve.   I got lectured by a 12 year old!

I am so hurt and ashamed.  :(

Guess I do need to read the chapter again to review algebra!  It has been atleast 17 years since I took algebra!

Thanks for entering the contest at my blog. I love that you’re blogging about your nanny experiences! Kids certainly have a way of cutting us back down to size, don’t they?

you are cracking me up! I can so see how tormented you must be. It must be tough getting raked over for a bad grade from your youngest kidlet. hahaha…. maybe ask him for a little positive reinforcement next time he belittles your study habits ;)

Yeah I should ask for positive reinforcement! He had me print out worksheets on adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing fractions yesterday to brush up on his skills for school. I asked him if I should be doing them too, and he said YES!
