Not sure who knows and who doesn’t, but my dog Poohbear who is 12 years old has Congestive Heart Failure, it was diagnosed in February. When I went home in March for Easter I spent the day researching online pet pharmacies for her drugs…4 twice a day. I found some great places to get her meds much cheaper. About 3 weeks ago her breathing started becoming heavier, and my mom had to up her prednosine to 2 pills instead of one. Her breathing was much more labored. She once weighed 55 and was down to 41. Dr. G and my mom decided 35lbs was the magic number to put her down if she went that long. Apparently on Sunday her breathing became much more labored, Monday basically the same, Tuesday she couldn’t get up and walk. Wednesday night my mom & melissa took her to Dr G’s and she had gained 7lbs..fluid. It was on the right side of heart apparently..her liver and kidneys were shutting down. The heart murmer was getting worse and her body was overworking trying to get her to breath. So they put her to sleep. It took only one shot apparently which is unlike what happened to Duff three years ago, she didn’t try to get up and move..she just went to sleep quickly and peacefully.
These are pictures of her in July when I went home to say good bye to her incase I couldn’t get back to see her again. She loved getting the newspaper bc she knew she could play frisbee afterwards. But honestly she could only do it like twice before being out of breath this year since being diagnosed. No one really believed that she was 12 years old! When she was groomed earlier this year, they lady apparently thought she was like two or three!
I picked her out and paid for her in1996 when I was at my first nanny job. I never really got to live with her fulltime which is kinda of funny, because she listened to me the best out of everyone. When I go home next it is going to be really strange because Abbie who is 15 is the last of our orginial crew of dogs :Duff, Pooh and Abbie

Sorry about Poohbear. I know you loved her a lot and she will be missed. Just think of all the frisbees she’s chasing and catching in doggie heaven. Kellie
