Life as a Nanny - among other things

Whoops! 3 weeks since my last post.

So I have been MIA for the past 3 weeks.  So much has been going on.  I was on vacation but stayed at work so I could do stuff around the house and so forth. I ended up having to water the new landscaping every am around 8am for 30 mins…so no sleeping in for me!

Then my dad had knee replacement surgery and developed some blood clots so I ended up going home for early and spent 4-5 days hanging in the hospital with him, my grandma and stepmother.    Then I drove back up to DC so I could work.

I had all 3 kids home last week and spent so much time in the car driving I was on the verge on tears.  I hadn’t driven that much in well over a year since my last job.  It was hard to be stuck in the car that long. Plus it was pushing 95 plus degrees daily.

My one year anniversary at my job, July 9, came and went unnoticed.  Which was kinda weird but expected in a way. Everyone was coming back from vacation that day.

So this week I will be hopefully blogging more. I had some stories of how the princess, prince, pheasant and me the Fairy Godmother had dinner on Thursday.  It was hysterical.

Hope everyone is staying cool and enjoying the lovely AC.
