Charts …why everyone could use one

April 30th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I have received several positive responses to my blog post on Turn off that Playstation and computer!   I even had one person ask if this “electronic time” could work with her husband.   I am sure you could use this for all ages.  You might have to change the consequences for those over the age of 18, but give it a try and let me know. :)

A few weeks ago a long time career nanny friend of mine sent out a link to a website that has charts for kids. These charts cover household chores, hygiene, homework, behavior, activity and other things.  This site is awesome.   I wanted to share it with everyone because often nannies and parents struggle at times to find a chart that works for them. These charts seem to work. They are also interactive.   The website helps your child learn responsibility as well as money saving skills.

Handipoints, INC

This is the invitation I could send out to my friends for the charts:

Hi! I am writing to invite you to try out Handipoints. Handipoints is a game you play with your children to teach responsible habits. Parents create printable chore charts and setup an allowance program online. Kids earn points to use to dress up their CoolCats and play games in HandiLand.  Visit their website at http://www.handipoints.com/friends/ to learn more and to sign-up for free.

Let me know what you think about this site and if it helps your family out.

Hello! This is Mary from Handipoints.com. I noticed you’ve written about Handipoints on your blog. We’re working to improve our search engine ranking. I’d like to ask you to please change the link in your blog post to include the words: “Handipoints” and “chore charts”.

I’d love to offer you a Key Ring of 3 Gold, 4 Silver, 5 Bronze Keys, which is a $19.99 value. Kids on Handipoints use Keys to buy premium, exclusive clothes and furniture for their cat characters. You can keep the Key Ring for yourself or give it away to your readers.
