Nanny Adventures

I just love when the grandparents come to visit.  They are the sweetest people ever.  Grandma is an amazing cook as well.  I am not sure how old she is, I am guessing mid to late 60’s maybe older.  She is in amazing shape regardless. Very active. 

Today the mom said something to me about the screendoor being stuck etc.  I didn’t even realize it as we hardly ever go on the back deck.  So grandma goes over there and is telling her not to pull it off the track etc.  She asks if we have WD-40.  I said I have no clue, I haven’t seen any in the year I have been here :)  Grandma then goes and finds some under the sink.  She goes out to the patio sliding screendoor and performs the WD-40 magic.  Grandma got it working again just fine.

She goes on to tell me that it is apart of her maintence of her house. It is good for door locks, windows, doors and the garage door etc.  I told her she needs to move in with us and put us on that schedule.

She also told me the mom was very happy with the cleaning company I found.  I was so happy to hear that.  They are a great company.  It was nice to have outside validation.  I also talked to her about all the landscaping that I had been doing with the landscaping company. Well ok really about all the watering I have been doing with the new plants, flowers and evergreens before 9am daily.

I love having them here as they are helpful and not intrusive. They include me in dinner etc.  I will miss them when they go back home on Thursday.  They are wonderful people to talk with and hear stories from.
